Data Source	State Record Office Western Australia Series 3422. The data was transcribed from digitised copies of the original records. In addition the Prosecution Project has accessed digitised volumes of Western Australia Police Gazettes, published from 1876, to identify trials that were not recorded in Series 3422 - these were mostly trials conducted in remote regions of the colony.
Origin of Historical Sources	The data was collected and maintained at Perth as the official record of trials conducted at the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
