The survey was designed to provide data for comparative research with Australia. Topics investigated were voting behaviour; party identification; past voting behaviour; interest in politics; ideological self-placement; satisfaction with government and politics; thermometer ratings of leaders, parties and local candidates; attitude to political leaders; membership of and activity within political parties; likes/dislikes about the major political parties; knowledge of locally elected MP; and election issues.
